What to Look for in a Dog Sitter or Boarding Provider in North East England
Whether you're choosing home boarding, a licensed kennel, or a sitter who stays in your own home, it's worth checking a few key things: local authority licensing (a legal requirement for anyone boarding dogs professionally in the UK), how many dogs are cared for at once, daily routine and exercise arrangements, and how nervous or anxious dogs are settled in. Reading recent reviews from other North East dog owners, and visiting in person before booking where possible, are two of the best ways to judge whether a provider is the right fit.
How Much Does Dog Boarding Cost in North East England?
Pricing in North East England tends to sit at or below the UK average, among the more affordable regions overall. Expect around £14–£26 per night for home boarding, and £11–£20 per day for daytime sitting, with central Newcastle typically at the higher end.
