In this unit, you will learn the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and treat common dog behavioural issues. You will also learn about functional analysis and how it is used in training and behaviour management.

Unit 4 – Basics of puppy training
The material in this unit will provide you with a thorough understanding of how a puppy’s first few months of life impact it, how the environment may shape it into a dog that acts in a helpful or undesirable manner, and puppy growth stages, and approximately when these fall.

Unit 5 – Dog training strategies
Through the course of this unit, you will get a greater understanding of the different approaches to dog training and the modification of dog behaviour, as well as an awareness of how these approaches came to be widely used and how they influence the dog.

Unit 6 – Starting your own business
